Design Your Own Background Paper Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Todays blog is for the February challenge called "Design your own background" over at My Little Craft Group on Facebook. I have to say this one was a hard one for me as I love patterned papers so having to create something myself seemed a bit daunting as I didn't know how to start. Tim Holtz came to the rescue with some distress ink pads, I created my background by gliding different colours across the paper until I was happy with the style. Then cut it down into a curve and made card number 1, card number 2 was using the left over paper I punched out 3 flowers and trimmed down a strip of the paper and created card number 2.

This is the sheet of patterned paper I created. I know it don't look much but when i cut it down I have to say i was happy with what i had done.

Christmas Card - Last Minute Make

Hello,

I sat and wrote down my christmas card list and was surprised I had to make 50 Christmas cards for all my friends to make, so the plan was to keep it quick and simple so everyone got them in time,  I decided to just use stamps and a gem, I have to say it was fun to try and not over bling the bell as the design is crying out to be binged up, I added the gem to the red stamped bow to add the sparkle.

Ingredients

4 x 4 Inch Card Blank.
Paper Tray Ink - Signature Christmas.
Ancient Page Ink Pads - Stone Grey and Bordeaux.
My Stash - a stamp set (no made of company on sorry), Silver Gem.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like this little project, please leave a comment below.

Altered Tin

Hello everyone,

I got this little tin a few weeks ago and have had it on my desk waiting to be altered, I have never altered one before, I didn't know how tricking it would be (tricky but loads of fun). the charm of these little tins is you can add all the little bits and bobs you have lying around and never want to throw away, all those bits of trim and odd gems and flowers and anything else you can find.

I have to say I am pleased with how it turned out and will be out looking for more tins to alter this weekend.
